1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website to store information about your visit. KensingtonLounge also uses browser local storage and session storage, which function similarly to cookies but are stored differently. This policy covers all three mechanisms.
2. Strictly necessary storage
These items are essential for the site to function correctly. They cannot be disabled.
ksl_consent
Local storage. Stores your cookie consent preferences (analytics: true/false, ads: true/false). Persists until you clear browser storage. Required so we don't re-show the consent banner on every page.
ksl_age_ok
Session storage. Records that you confirmed you are 18+ during this browser session. Cleared automatically when you close the browser tab.
3. Analytics cookies (consent required)
We use analytics to understand which pages attract most interest and where visitors experience friction. These cookies are only placed after you actively accept analytics cookies via our consent banner.
4. Advertising cookies (consent required)
Advertising cookies may be placed by affiliate tracking systems when you click a link to a partner bookmaker. These allow the operator to attribute your registration to KensingtonLounge for commission purposes. We do not place advertising cookies ourselves — they are placed by third parties on their own domains.
5. Third-party cookies
Bookmakers you visit via our affiliate links operate their own cookie and tracking systems. We have no control over these. Please review the privacy and cookie policies of any operator you register with for full details of their tracking practices.
6. How to manage cookies
You can update your preferences at any time using the panel. You can also manage or delete cookies via your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Site permissions → Cookies and site data
Deleting the ksl_consent local storage item will reset your preferences and cause the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.
7. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we add new cookies or change how existing ones are used. The "last updated" date at the top of the page will reflect the current version. We recommend checking this page periodically.
