Who we are
KensingtonLounge is an independent editorial review site dedicated to cricket betting in the United Kingdom. We score bookmakers across seven criteria — odds quality, cricket market depth, live streaming, mobile experience, bonus transparency, payment speed, and customer support — to help bettors make informed decisions before committing real money.
We have no equity stakes in any operator we review, and our league-table rankings are recalculated quarterly. A bookmaker that moves a market poorly loses ranking points; one that improves consistently rises. Commercial relationships cover our running costs but cannot buy a higher score.
Our scoring methodology
Every bookmaker in our comparison table is evaluated against a 100-point rubric:
- Odds quality (28 pts): We pull live cricket odds from five operators simultaneously during international Test and ODI matches, compute the best-of-market percentage, and score each operator against the field average over a rolling 90-day window.
- Cricket market depth (22 pts): We count distinct markets offered on a representative sample of matches — Test, ODI, T20, County, and women's cricket — and weight by market novelty and in-play availability.
- Live streaming (18 pts): Assessed on fixture coverage breadth, stream quality (HD threshold), and reliability during high-traffic England home games.
- Mobile experience (16 pts): Tested on iOS and Android across five common tasks: account creation, deposit, bet placement, cash-out, and withdrawal request. Scores penalise friction steps and missing biometric login.
- Bonus transparency (10 pts): We read every current promotion T&C in full. Points are deducted for wagering requirements above 5×, restricted markets, short expiry windows, and opaque stake requirements.
- Payment speed (6 pts): We measure withdrawal confirmation time from request submission to funds-in-account across three payment methods.
Editorial independence policy
KensingtonLounge maintains a strict separation between commercial and editorial functions. Our ratings committee reviews scores quarterly and can overrule any commercial relationship. If a bookmaker we review loses its UKGC licence we remove it from comparison tables within 24 hours, regardless of any active affiliate arrangement. We link only to operators holding a current UKGC licence.
